“I wonder as I wander”…

…A song generally sung around Christmas time. For those readers who aren’t aware…I will be fasting for three weeks all Social Media, TV, Movies, Books, Podcasts etc. and replacing those things with reading only God’s word. This was a recommendation from our pastor. Fasting/Taking a break from my everyday routine/habits feels a little like wandering. Not knowing what I will learn, hear, where I might go, etc…Tonight I wonder as I wander…Hoping I might be able to focus more as the song so beautifully goes…

“I wonder as I wander out under the sky, how Jesus my Savior did come forth to die. For poor on’ry people like you and like I…I wonder as I wander out under the sky”…

The definition of the word “wander” is; walk or move in a leisurely, casual, or aimless way.

When I imagine walking with Jesus, I think of a stroll…casual, leisurely, quiet, calm, and peaceful. I imagine it to be warm and beautiful with an abundance of nature but no other people. This is where my soul longs to be. The only way to experience this I think is to completely unplug from the world’s diet.

I’m excited. I’m nervous. I worry about failing, and yet I have great anticipation. Some may say three weeks is nothing and I am overthinking it. I don’t think so. I’m believing and praying for MORE. MUCH more. Would you pray with me on this journey? I would appreciate any and all of your prayers.

I promise to blog my journey. I believe God is calling me to do this.

Signing out until tomorrow wondering where I will wander…
