LOVE. Over the years a lot of symbols and words from the Bible have been twisted, used and greatly abused. TRUTH.
LOVE. Currently a word being tossed around left and right. I’ve heard it said we should be careful who we show love to lest it would encourage behaviors or practices that are different than mine. FALSE.
LOVE. Is there anyone that doesn’t deserve it? NO
LOVE. Are there conditions attached to it? NO
LOVE. We are commanded to ALWAYS speak the truth in LOVE.
LOVE is PATIENT
LOVE is KIND
Love DOES NOT boast
Love IS NOT proud
Love IS NOT jealous
Love IS NOT boastful.
Love DOES NOT keep a record of wrong doings.
Love DOES NOT envy.
Love DOES NOT dishonor others
Love IS NOT self-seeking.
Love IS NOT easily angered.
Love DOES NOT delight in injustice
LOVE delights in TRUTH.
LOVE ALWAYS protects, trusts, hopes and perseveres.
LOVE NEVER FAILS!
It is interesting that in the Bible, the most recognized love chapter 1 Corinthians spends a lot of time explaining what love is not. The Bible was written so long ago…leads me to believe truly loving people has always been difficult and might I even say be rare.
LOVE. We all need it. We all have an incredible desire to receive it.
It’s only by the grace of God we can show THIS kind of love.
LOVE. Best way to love I’m convinced is to practice it in the hard places with the people you might find the most difficult. This takes alot of energy and prayer. It’s not fun. It’s not easy. No expectations. Just obedience and prayer. It’s a process I’m trying to get my head around but I’m convinced in this world, it needs to happen. Now.
LOVE: Our neighbors as we do ourselves.
This might very well be why He said the GREATEST commandment is…
Thou shalt LOVE the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
If we can do this…everything else should fall into place 💗
