In A Perfect World

People would listen more and talk less.

We would agree to disagree.

People would have coffee with their neighbor.

We would know if our neighbor drinks coffee.

Love would trump division and personal agendas.

There would be no poor.

Everyone would share what they have.

There would be no political affiliation.

There would be no sickness or death.

Trust would not be broken.

Hobbies and quality time moments would become our daily routine.

There would be peace and rest always…for the weary soul would not exist.

Just as everyone has his or her own idea of what a “perfect world” would look like…so is the reason we will never experience a “perfect world” on this planet. Thinking about a world without controversy and imperfection is almost uncomfortable to me. Maybe it’s because I am confident as to why I have to live in a flawed environment. Or might it be because I know I am flawed and then there is grace and mercy…

No matter how imperfectly messy this world is, I know there is much more ahead. I know my Father in heaven has given me a purpose here and my identity is in Him. In other words, I still have “stuff” to do. There are few treasures here on this earth. In fact, with the exception of family, friends and maybe our sweet four-legged sidekick, I’d be quite happy taking the fast track out of here.

The BEST part is, I know this world is only temporary. One day, I will retire to my long awaited forever “perfect world’ where the sun will never set, the birds always sing and every dream comes true. My forever home along side my Creator.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
