MIRACLES are _____
Fill in the blank…
Do you believe in miracles? Have you experienced a miracle? Have you asked for a miracle?
Webster defines a MIRACLE; a surprising and welcome event that is not explicable by natural or scientific laws and is therefore considered to be the work of a “divine agency”.
“the MIRACLE of rising from the grave”
It seems even Webster recognizes miracles come from a “Divine Agency”. They also reference “rising from the grave” as the example.
We are approaching Easter and the celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. He was laid in a tomb. The stone that was rolled away was estimated between 2000-4000 pounds. No human could budge it. An empty tomb! A miracle!
I believe in miracles! I know they occur every single day all around us.
COINCIDENCE is defined by Webster; a remarkable concurrence of events or circumstances without apparent causal connection.
“they met by COINCIDENCE”
Compared to a miracle, a coincidence is fairly uninspiring. The example used is also pretty underwhelming. Maybe, that is due to the absence of a “Divine power” that Webster refers to in the definition of a miracle.
Honestly, I don’t believe so much in coincidences.
Miracles bring hope. Build faith. Make life worth living! Coincidences might make us ponder for a bit but they quickly fizzle out and are forgettable. Miracles become inspiring stories that birth more stories and testimonies pointing to a “Divine Agency”…
Being alive, and the fact that each of us has a unique, identifiable fingerprint is a miracle.
In this season of celebrating Easter, I want to give thanks to the One “Divine Agency”, miracle making Creator, who gave His Son, Jesus Christ, who laid down His life for me so I could be forgiven and free!
He is alive in me, and I am a living miracle 💗
